Milana

Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub (American actress and comedian, as well as activist) is a comedian. Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents, she began her career as a child actor shortly after immigrating to the United States. From 2013 until 2016 she worked as the AT&T saleswoman Lily Adams, and since 2020, she has been the AT&T saleswoman Lily Adams. She rose to fame for her roles in television commercials. In addition to her commercial appearances, she also appeared as a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also starred in the role of a regular character in the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. After being featured in the unaired TV pilot for New Warriors, Vayntrub also plays Squirrel Girl in Marvel Rising. Vayntrub was Jewish and born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. When she was two years old, she and her parents immigrated to the U.S. as refugees to escape antisemitism, settling in West Hollywood. She started performing in Mattel Barbie commercials at the age of five, due in part to the family's financial troubles. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School. But she dropped out of school after her sophomore years. She earned an GED and was able to earn an undergraduate degree in Arts (Communication) from the University of California San Diego. Vayntrub was a student of improv comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade.
